Participation is the share of a program's enrolled members who completed a quiz in the window. We quote the median program rather than a blended average, because the blend is dragged down by accounts whose enrolled list includes people who were never invited to play. 15,059 members · New England · Quizzify since 2021

Flat from 2022 to 2025 — no decay.

14,218 members have played. 2021 was the launch year; from 2022 through 2025 the program held flat at roughly 8,500 active members and about 67,000 quizzes a year, with usage per member rising every year — 4.4 → 7.5 → 7.7 → 7.9 → 8.1. New sign-ups fell nearly 80% across that same stretch, so the plateau is existing members coming back rather than a pipeline of new ones propping up the number.

4,753 members · cities, towns & school districts · 2015–2025

A decade in, the average member had finished 31 quizzes.

Quizzify's first customer, and still the deepest per-person usage anywhere on the platform. Two-thirds of everyone who played a quiz came back and replayed one, which is the highest repeat rate of any program we run. Ten years of city and town employees (DPW crews, teachers, clerks, first responders) completed 137,298 quizzes at a 98% finish rate and said they learned something new 97.8% of the time.

The program wound down in 2025 after a change in management, not for lack of interest — plenty of members asked to keep playing.

Distributed clinical + field workforce · Quizzify since 2018

It works on a workforce that is never at a desk.

Nurses, aides and field staff: shift workers, mostly mobile, a workforce that is genuinely hard to reach. They spend a median of 5m 11s per quiz, the longest of any program here, because they actually read the explanations, and the 5,549 who have played average 16 quizzes each. Clinical training doesn't make you immune to health-system illiteracy. Here's the proof.

Every rate above uses the same definitions as the client's own reporting dashboard, against that program's enrolled population. “Of quizzes started” counts first attempts. “Replayed a quiz”, “clicked a link” and the return rates above are all shares of the people who played at least once — not of the workforce. In two of these three programs a member's account is created the moment they first play, so a “share of registered members who played” figure would be close to circular, and we don't publish one. Programs are described by profile rather than named — client names appear in Quizzify marketing only with that client's written permission.

Want to see the questions that do this?

The engagement isn't a mechanic or a points scheme. It's that the questions are genuinely surprising — and most people get them wrong.

Costs? See pricing — $12 per employee per year, or $6 per quiz completed.

How these numbers were produced

  • Source. A direct read of the Quizzify production database, snapshot August 2026, covering every play since August 2015. Nothing is modeled, projected, or blended with third-party benchmarks.
  • Attention. Time on a quiz is its completion timestamp minus its start timestamp, across every completed quiz carrying both. Each is capped at one hour before summing, so an abandoned tab cannot inflate the total — the true figure is higher than the one we publish.
  • Completion. A “start” means the player answered at least one question. Fetching the app creates a placeholder record before anyone has done anything, and counting those as abandoned quizzes understates the rate by about nine points — so we don't.
  • Players. A player is someone who has finished at least one quiz — 63,077 people. Two figures on this page are deliberately narrower than that and are the only exceptions: longevity uses 62,937, which also drops internal Quizzify test accounts, and the attention total uses the 979,243 completed quizzes that carry both a start and a finish timestamp.
  • Retention. Cohorts are grouped by the year of a player's first completed quiz. We don't publish a window a cohort hasn't had time to reach.
  • Survey figures. Answers to the post-quiz question shown to real players in the product, with the denominator stated everywhere it appears. 19.4% of people who finish a quiz that asks the question answer it, so these reflect the players who chose to reply.
